How do I withdraw to third party accounts?

You can use your funds in Airtm to withdraw to payment methods owned by third parties. Use this feature to send funds to anyone, anywhere regardless if they have an Airtm account or not. Whether you are making a payment to a local or international business, or sending money back home to family, third party withdrawals expand how you can use your money in Airtm. Third party withdrawals are supported for all Bank, E-wallet, Mobile Wallet and Cryptocurrency payment methods.

To make a third party withdrawal:

  1. In the Withdraw funds flow, upon configuring the payment method information, you can indicate if the account you are withdrawing to is not in your name by selecting “No” to “Is this withdraw to an account in your name?”

  2. Once selected , you will be prompted to input your recipient’s email address, first name, and last name followed by all other standard payment method information.

  3. Confirm your recipient’s information is correct and submit your request.

  4. After it is accepted, your peer will transfer funds to your recipient’s payment information and confirm funds sent. Your recipient will receive an email notifying them to check they have received the correct amount and to let you know to complete the transaction.

Please note: As the Airtm user, you are responsible for confirming funds received to your recipient. Once confirmed, you must return to the transaction detail in Airtm to select Confirmed funds received.
