Exchange rate and fees in Airtm P2P

Modified on Fri, 24 Apr at 4:53 PM

The Airtm P2P marketplace is a place where two people meet to complete a transaction, with Airtm acting as a trusted third party providing security and support.

How is the price of a P2P transaction made up?

  1. Base exchange rate: the exchange rate between the payment method's currency and 1 USDC. This does not include any fees.
  2. Cashier commission: what the cashier earns for completing the transaction. This includes a variable commission (a percentage of the amount) and, for some payment methods, a fixed commission.
  3. Platform fees: these include a service fee and an escrow fee charged by Airtm.

The total price shown in the transaction reflects the sum of all three components.
