FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How to activate a payment method?

In order to activate a payment method, it is first necessary that the payment method is open and configured in your profile.

Where can I check the status of payment methods?
How do we determine if a method is open?
There are several factors to determine whether a payment method is open to grant acceptance permissions:

  • Request acceptance rate: If our acceptance rate is below the desired level.
  • Payment method concentration: We have an indicator to determine how concentrated the method is, meaning how transactions are distributed among active cashiers.
  • Rate: We aim to maintain an attractive rate for users. If the rate is too high, we look for more cashiers willing to accept transactions at a better rate for users.
  • Few active cashiers: If we have a low number of active cashiers. There may be good acceptance but high concentration, or simply low acceptance. Other special factors may also determine if a method is open.
  • New payment method: New payment methods remain open until they reach the desired levels of acceptance and concentration.
  • If we need more cashiers in certain regions, A method may meet all desired indicators, but have low acceptance in some regions. In these cases, the method will only be open for cashiers in those regions.
How many cashiers are granted permissions?

If a payment method is open, we grant permissions until it reaches the desired indicator levels. Our algorithm grants permissions daily to a limited number of cashiers.

Who do we grant permissions to?

We currently grant permissions to a percentage of new cashiers (who have never had permission for the method) and another percentage to cashiers who previously had acceptance permissions.

We mainly base this on the number of transactions. If a cashier has requested permissions for the payment method, they are given priority.

 Important considerations

Please note that we do not manually activate permissions.
