Why has my direct transaction been pending for days?

Direct transactions on Airtm (those that don't go through the P2P network) have processing times that vary depending on the payment method. Most complete automatically, but some may experience delays.

Typical processing times

  • Debit / credit card: immediate to 24 hours
  • Direct bank transfer: 1 to 5 business days
  • ACH (US Virtual Account): 1 to 5 business days
  • Wire: 1 business day
  • Pix: minutes
  • SEPA / FPS: 1 to 3 business days

What can cause a delay?

  • The bank or payment provider is processing the transfer on its own schedule
  • The transaction is under compliance review
  • There was an error in the submitted details (account number, account holder name, etc.)
  • The payment provider is experiencing a temporary outage

What should I do?

  1. Confirm that the estimated processing time for your payment method has already passed.
  2. Check whether you received any email from Airtm related to the transaction.
  3. Verify with your bank or originating platform that the transfer was sent successfully.
  4. If everything checks out and your transaction is still pending, contact us at support@airtm.com with the transaction ID, amount, payment method, and date.
