Airtm offers a protection program for cashiers who accept first-time transactions from users on the PayPal (Regular and Small), Skrill, and Wise (USD and EUR) payment methods. Eligible cashiers can apply for a refund on first transactions that suffered fraud.
Requirements to apply
- Account age: you must have completed your first transaction in the payment method at least 180 days before creating the ticket.
- Rating: you must have a rating of at least 4.7 at the time of creating the ticket.
- Completion ratio: you must have at least 80% completion rate (80 out of every 100 accepted transactions completed) for the payment method.
- Fraud ratio: your fraud ratio must be less than 1% for the payment method.
- Completed transactions: you must have at least 60 completed transactions for the payment method.
Program conditions
- You are protected for up to 2 transactions per week or 300 USDC per month, whichever comes first.
- The reimbursement amount is the total transaction value minus any applied fees.
- Transactions over 100 USDC are not covered.
- The transaction must be a first-time transaction for the user in Airtm and must be associated with: PayPal (Regular and Small), Wise (USD and EUR), or Skrill.
How to apply
- Create a ticket in Airtm within 5 days of the chargeback.
- Include the following required information:
- Transaction ID (TRX ID).
- Brief explanation of the case.
- Screenshot validating the client's payment on the external platform.
- Screenshot validating the chargeback or fraud, including the closure date on the external platform (open disputes are not covered).
- For PayPal: screenshot of the invoice sent to the user, which must include the following statement or similar: "This invoice covers the provision of digital services that do not involve any physical delivery. The services provided are non-refundable. This invoice should only be paid once the recipient is completely satisfied with the service provided."
Coverage only applies when the payment was made using the external platform's balance. Debit or credit card payments are not accepted. Once eligibility is confirmed, payment will be credited within 15 business days.
Tips for PayPal
- Issue and send the invoice to the client's email registered in Airtm.
- Both the cashier's and user's email addresses on the invoice must be the same ones registered in Airtm.
- Verify that the invoice payment comes from the same email address it was sent to.
- Ask the client to forward the PayPal payment confirmation email showing that payment was made using account balance, not a debit/credit card.
Legal notice: Airtm reserves the right to review each case and may decline payment if there is evidence of bad faith. In that case, all permissions may be permanently removed and the cashier may be banned. Airtm may end this program at any time without prior notice.
