How to add funds to Airtm from PayPal

To add funds to Airtm from PayPal you have two options: the Direct method (via your US Virtual Account) or the P2P method.

Option 1: Direct method (US Virtual Account)

To send PayPal balance to Airtm through your US Virtual Account:

1. Log in to PayPal and go to "Wallet".
2. Click "Link a card or bank account".
3. Select "Link a US bank account" and enter your US Virtual Account details:
   • Account type: checking
   • Routing Number
   • Account number
   Find these details in Airtm under ACH account details.
4. Verify your bank account: PayPal may send small verification deposits. If you need help, email support@airtm.com.
5. Once verified, transfer your PayPal balance to Airtm easily.

Option 2: P2P method

A. Amounts over $15 USDC

1. Click Add.
2. Select PayPal (Over $15).
3. Enter the amount, click Continue and then Send request.

For security, do not mention Airtm or currency exchange at any point during the PayPal payment process.

4. Once the cashier takes the transaction, let them know via chat.

Do not send money directly to the cashier's email — always wait for the invoice or payment instructions. It is normal for this to take a few minutes.

5. You will receive the PayPal invoice by email. Click "View and pay payment form".

You must be the PayPal account holder and pay with PayPal balance only (not with a card).

6. Go to "Recent activity" in PayPal and copy the transaction ID.
7. In Airtm, go to the Details tab, enter the ID and click Confirm payment.
8. Forward the PayPal confirmation email to your counterpart's email.
9. Wait a few minutes — your funds will appear in your account.

B. Amounts of $15 USDC or less

1. Click Add.
2. Select PayPal ($15 or less).
3. Enter the amount and click Send request.

For security, do not mention Airtm or currency exchange at any point during the PayPal payment process.

4. Once the cashier takes the transaction, click "I understand, show payment info" and copy their email.

Do not send money directly — always wait for the cashier's instructions.

5. In PayPal, click Send and enter the cashier's email.
6. Enter the amount and click Continue.
7. Select "No address needed" and click "Send payment now".
8. Copy the transaction ID from "Recent activity".
9. In Airtm, go to Details, enter the ID and click Confirm payment. Let the cashier know via chat.
10. Forward the PayPal confirmation email to your counterpart's email.
11. Wait a few minutes — your funds will appear in your account.

Additional tips

• Rate your cashier with stars when done.
• Stay in contact with your cashier via the Airtm chat.
• Avoid opening disputes in PayPal. If there is an issue, your funds are safe in Airtm — our team will contact you via the transaction chat.
