Frequently asked questions for cashiers

How do I activate a payment method?

To activate a payment method as a cashier, the method must be open to new cashiers and you must have it set up in your profile.

Where can I check the status of payment methods?

You can check the market status board at try.airtm.com/market-status. It also shows the minimum transactions you need to complete as a client to be considered a cashier candidate.

How do we determine if a method is open?

We consider several factors:

  • Acceptance rate: if the request acceptance rate falls below the desired level.
  • Concentration: to minimize risks and keep the market dynamic, we avoid letting a few cashiers monopolize transactions.
  • Competitive rate: we aim for an attractive rate for clients. If it's not competitive, we add more cashiers.
  • New methods: new payment methods stay open until they reach the desired acceptance and concentration levels.

How many cashiers receive permissions?

If a method is open, the algorithm grants permissions daily to a limited number of cashiers until the desired indicators are reached.

Who gets permissions?

We use a prioritization algorithm that evaluates activity and experience metrics calculated continuously as you complete P2P transactions on Airtm.

Important notes

  • We do not manually activate permissions.
  • After receiving permissions for a method, you must continue completing cashier transactions to keep them.
  • You'll receive a warning after 30 days of inactivity and lose the permission after 60 days.
