What is the Airtm US Virtual Account?

The Airtm US Virtual Account gives you a US bank address to receive ACH and Wire payments directly into your Airtm account — no physical US bank needed.

It's perfect for freelancers, contractors, digital entrepreneurs, or anyone who needs to receive funds from the US. Once the money arrives, you can convert it to your local currency, send it to other users, or withdraw it using the withdrawal options available in your region.

Who can use it?

It's available in most countries where Airtm operates. The following countries have restrictions and cannot access this feature:

Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burundi, China, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, United States of America, Gaza Strip, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, North Korea, North Macedonia, Pakistan, Qatar, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, West Bank, Yemen, Zimbabwe.

Note: Venezuelan nationals living abroad can access the US Virtual Account as long as they have a foreign ID.

If you don't see the option in your account and your country isn't on the list, it may not be available in your region yet.

What banking details do I get?

When you activate your US Virtual Account, you receive:

  • Account holder name
  • Routing Number (ABA)
  • Account number
  • Recipient bank name and address

Keep these handy — you'll need to share them with anyone sending you funds.

Do I need to complete any verification?

Yes. You'll need to complete the Special Features KYC to access the US Virtual Account. If you've already done it for another feature like the Virtual Card, you won't need to do it again.
