How are transactions distributed among cashiers?

Modified on Fri, 24 Apr at 4:53 PM

Unlike other P2P markets, on Airtm it's the client who posts the request, taking the first step to initiate a peer exchange. The Distribution Algorithm is the set of automatic rules that matches clients with cashiers in an optimized way.

To optimize distribution and marketplace performance, transactions are not shown to all cashiers simultaneously. Only cashiers with active permissions for a specific payment method who are currently online are eligible to view the requests.

How the algorithm works

  1. When a new request comes in, the algorithm randomly selects a group of active cashiers with permissions for that payment method.
  2. The request is shown to that group.
  3. If the transaction is not accepted after a set time, the algorithm selects a new group of cashiers.
  4. This cycle repeats until the transaction is accepted or the client cancels it.
