Airtm users in Colombia can receive Colombian pesos (COP) directly from any local bank or digital wallet using a Bre-B key. When a deposit arrives, the COP is automatically converted to USDC and credited to your Airtm wallet.
How to activate your Bre-B key
- Open Airtm and go to your Home screen.
- Look for the option to activate your Bre-B key.
- If your identity hasn't been verified yet, you'll be asked to complete that first.
- Once activated, your Bre-B key is ready to receive deposits.
Share your Bre-B key with whoever will be sending you COP. They can use it from any bank or app that supports Bre-B transfers.

Is there a cost to open or maintain the Bre-B key?
No. Opening and maintaining your key is completely free. There are currently no fees for receiving deposits either.
What currency can I receive?
Only Colombian pesos (COP). The funds are automatically converted to USDC when they arrive.
How long does a deposit take?
In most cases it's instant. For larger amounts, it can take up to 30 minutes.
What exchange rate applies?
The rate in effect at the moment the deposit is received. Keep in mind that if there's a gap between when you share your key and when the sender actually transfers, the rate may differ from what you saw in the app.
Is there a maximum deposit amount?
Yes. The maximum is COP 12,000,000 per deposit.
Can I receive from someone else's account?
You can receive from your own accounts and from companies. Transfers from third-party individuals are not supported yet, but this will expand over time.
Can I use my Bre-B key to send money?
No. Your Bre-B key is for receiving only. To send money, use Airtm's standard withdrawal options.
Can I deactivate or delete my Bre-B key?
No. Once created, your key stays active. There is no option to disable or remove it.
